Rebekah Kay...

After a long. LONG 6+ months we finally got together and made this shoot happen! For those of you who've been supporting me since day 1 probably are familiar with my first personal project entitled the "All Black Affair Series", well Rebekah was one of thee first people I reached out to, to collaborate and be apart of it. She initially agreed to pose as one of my subjects but was a bit unsure seeing that she's comfortable being the one behind the camera rather than in front of it. (As most photogs are).

Long story short, we weren't able to find a date that would work for the both of our schedules in the time frame that I was working with to make the deadline. Unfortunately, I had to move on without her and surprisingly the project turned out way better than I envisioned. Rebekah and I kept in contact from time-to-time in hopes that we'll be able to get together and create something worthy of making.

Recently, this past weekend we came together on short notice and made the shoot happen. The location I chose ended up to be key part in the vision I had for this project. I put on my stylist hat and helped select the outfit used for this shoot. Everything came along nicely. Overall, this would have to be one of my favorite shoots. There was no pressure, everything felt so spontaneous and fun. Just two friends at the beach hanging out with a camera. And that's actually the approach we took on this. I am very pleased and proud of the results.

Rebekah is one of the kindest and most intelligent people you'll ever met. Her personality as well as her spirit are truly beautiful. This woman has a great attention to detail and knows how to critic my work in a respectable manor. (I really appreciate that). She's the kind of people that you rarely come across in life and if you do, you make sure you keep them around for a long time. It's hard not to love her, like seriously. Not to mention is has incredible...nah, y'all ain't listening to me,  INCREDIBLE eyes as well as smile. Thank you again and I'm excited for the opportunity for us to create something.

This shot is one of top 5 favorites from the session. Reminds me a lot of the cover of Jhene Aiko's Sail Out EP.

And somehow we managed to switch roles with her shooting me and me being her subject. I'm a good sport.
